Taos

We had a fun trip to Taos. On the drive out, we stopped at the Cosmosphere in Hutchison.

Both kids thought the museum was really cool. Ellie's favorite part was the flight simulator and Ryan's favorite part was seeing the astronauts' potty.

We spent the night in Liberal, Kansas. Ryan got to have Sprite with his dinner and he was a big fan.

On our first day in Taos, we explored the town and found a fun park.

The next day we went to a hacienda and learned about what life in New Mexico was like 100 years ago.
We tried lots of New Mexican restaurants and the kids were really good. Ryan was happy as long as someone gave him a lemon to chew on.
There was a toy store near our condo with fun play areas.
On Wednesday, we went to Santa Fe and started the morning eating pastries and exploring the town square.
We visited Meow Wolf and burned off lots of energy checking out all of the pathways and rooms.
Ryan loved this slide that started in a dryer.
Ellie and I went shopping at the artists booths in the town square and she picked out a pretty bracelet.
On Thanksgiving morning, we went to the Rio Grande gorge for a hike.
We had Thanksgiving dinner at Doc Martin's in Taos.

On Friday, we went to Sipapu and Ellie tried skiing! We were so proud of her.

Ryan really wanted to ski too but he was too small. He made the best of it playing in the snow and riding the magic carpet with Ellie.
After an hour on the littlest run, Ellie wanted to try a bigger run with Chris. She loved the steeper hill and asked to go again and again.
We also introduced one of my favorite parts of skiing, snack breaks.

On Saturday, we went to the Taos ski village and went ice skating.
We spent our last evening in Taos walking around to look at Christmas lights and luminaria. It was a good ending to a great week.
