Ellie had a great second birthday. We celebrated all week long and she definitely felt the love.
We got to celebrate with Grandma the Saturday before Ellie's birthday. She brought the most delicious cake from Milk Bar in DC.
Ellie opened her gifts from Grandma, Dave and Gigi. She got awesome snow gear, which was perfect timing before our big storm the next week.
FaceTiming with Dave.
Ellie's big gift from Chris and I couldn't be wrapped so we surprised her with it when she woke up on her birthday. It was a hit.
That night, we met Noni and Papa at Spin Pizza for dinner. Ellie loved answering the question "How old are you today?" with an enthusiastic "TWO!" holding up her thumb and forefinger.
After dinner we went to Noni and Papa's for dessert and to open presents. Ellie's "cake" was blueberry muffins, her most-requested food right now.
By this time she understood what presents were all about and she really enjoyed opening them. Her reactions to each gift were so genuine and sweet.
Posing with one of her favorite gifts, a Spirit horse.
Chris got Ellie her first set of golf clubs and she loves playing with them. She's pretty cute whacking the ball around the living room.
