January

On New Year's Day we went to Wonders of Wildlife.

Emma asks to go to gymnastics every day.
Her teacher said it was a donut swing so she tried to lick it.
Ellie and Ryan took a cooking class together.
We watched Ryan play indoor soccer.
We got a good snowstorm.
The kids love playing with our neighbor, Emerson.
Emma woke up at 10pm and wanted to ride her scooter.
On January 10, Ellie fell at the ninja course and broke her arm just above her elbow. She was so brave about the whole thing. We went to the ER where they did x-rays and splinted it.
Nori was worried about her and stayed with her all night.
She was scheduled for surgery the next day at Children's Mercy downtown. We had some time to wait so we visited the gift shop.
They took really good care of her and the surgery was pretty quick. They put in two pins that stayed in her arm for three weeks to keep the bone in place.
We got to see her in the recovery room and then they wheeled her in a wagon to the car.
The nurse put a cast on her panda's arm to match hers.
She was spoiled with get well gifts from Grandma, Amy, Noni and Papa, Grandpa and Lena, and Uncle Alex.
Ryan tried to stay up to watch the whole Chiefs game.
We went to Scheels and Spin Pizza to get out of the house one cold Saturday.
Ellie likes to play animal rescuers with her American Girl dolls.
She was looking forward to getting her cast off, but was nervous about getting the pins taken out. She did awesome and said it felt weird but not painful when they took them out.
We celebrated Valentine's Day and Noni's birthday with Amy and Lauren.
Ellie and Emma loved meeting Nora.
