Memphis

We had a fun Memorial Day weekend trip to St. Louis and Memphis. Our first day in St. Louis we went to Grant's Farm.

Ryan and Ellie got to bottle feed baby goats.

Ellie rode a camel.
They both really liked the Clydesdales.
We went to Fitz's Soda Shop for dinner. Ellie and Ryan were excited to try the soda flavors.
On Sunday, we went out for pastries and then went to the St. Louis Zoo.

In the afternoon, we drove to Memphis. Our first stop was for barbecue.

The next morning we got up early to swim.
We stayed at the Peabody Hotel and the big event of the day was the duck parade. The ducks live in the Duck Palace on the roof, and every morning they ride the elevator down to swim in the lobby fountain.
The ducks were adorable.
We went to the Bass Pro Shops Pyramid.
Then it was time for our boat ride on the Mississippi River.
Ryan liked watching the paddle wheel.
We got back to our hotel in time for the evening duck parade, when they ride the elevator back up to the Duck Palace. It was funnier than the morning parade because the ducks are not in a hurry to leave the lobby.
Ellie did some more swimming.
On Tuesday morning, we went to the Memphis Zoo. The pandas were the highlight.

The zoo has a wading pool and splash pads. Ellie loved it.
After the zoo, we went out for lunch and then started the long drive home. The kids were so good in the car.
