Christmas

We started off our Christmas celebrations with Grandma the weekend before.

We had a yummy brunch followed by present opening and cookie decorating.
The next night, we had a celebration at Noni and Papa's.
Ellie had helped Noni pick out Ryan's gift and she was so thoughtful about what he would like.
No evening at Noni's is complete without the parachute.
On Christmas Eve, we made cookies for Santa and then went to the beach.
We were so excited about beach weather in December. It was 72 degrees.
Ryan loved having Ellie catch him at the bottom of the slide.
After dinner, we decorated our cookies.
We had a low-key Christmas morning. The kids had fun opening stockings and playing with their gifts. Poor Chris was really sick on Christmas but he watched the kids enjoy their toys from the couch.
They had requested cinnamon rolls, bacon and fruit salad for brunch.
Ellie got a new scooter for Christmas so we went on a ride to the duck pond to try it out.
In the afternoon, we went on another ride through the park with the dogs.
Our planned fancy Christmas dinner ended up just me and the kids eating in our pajamas. Afterward, we had "kid wine" (Ellie's hilarious term for sparkling cider) and ice cream while we FaceTimed with Gigi and it was a great end to our Christmas.
